I Released My Album to Compete With Burna Boy And Wizkid - Bebe Cool
Veteran Ugandan musician Moses Saali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, has revealed that his latest album was not created for local charts or quick hit singles — but to compete directly with African music giants Burna Boy and Wizkid.
Speaking during a recent media discussion, the Gagamel boss said his goal with the album “Break the Chains” was to produce a serious body of work capable of standing on the global stage.
“I wasn’t looking for hit songs with my album Break the Chains. I simply wanted to create a body of work to compete with the likes of Burna Boy and Wizkid,” Bebe Cool stated.
According to the singer, the album has already started breaking barriers internationally and expanding his audience beyond Uganda.
“The chains have been broken. We are now reaching international audiences and better things are coming,” he added.
But Bebe Cool is far from done.
The veteran artiste announced that he is already preparing another major project titled “Broken Chains”, which he believes will dominate international airwaves.
“Now I’m going to release another album called Broken Chains, and it will be loved,” he said confidently.
With his eyes firmly set on the global market, Bebe Cool appears determined to rewrite the position of Ugandan music on the world stage — not by chasing trends, but by building powerful bodies of work.
