Science Teacher Sentenced to 30 Years for Defiling 13-Year-Old Student

Andrew Ainebyona, 32, a science teacher at Yudesi Nursery and Primary School, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for raping a 13-year-old girl.

The prosecution, led by Lilian Nandawula, was able to produce six witnesses, who accused the teacher, Ainebyona, of raping the minor.

The evidence shows that the teacher, took the student (names withheld) to various places to rape her from 1, January to 31, January, 2025 in Kanyanya area at Fairmount Guest House in Kireka, Ttula in Kawempe and other places.

In January, 2025, the teacher kidnapped the child from the school in Kanyanya, where he had been taken to study on vacation, took him to a lodge in Ttula, Kawempe and thus used him for the first time.

On January 22, 2025, while the child was at his brother’s house in Kireka on vacation, teacher Ainebyona again called the child and took him to KFC Bbanda.

He bought her a chicken, then took her to the Fairmount Guest House in Kireka for the second time. Teacher Ainebyona, gave the child vodka and pills, to prevent her from getting pregnant because there was always no use of condoms.

On 31, Junuary, 2025, Teacher Ainebyona called the child, to return to the lodge, until he was arrested.

In the High Court, Judge Prof Andrew Khaukha, based on the evidence, sentenced Ainebyona to 30 years in prison but cut the entire period of his bail to one year
