Security forces arrest notorious armed robbers, recover firearm and ammunition In Gulu City

In a coordinated operation, police and army forces swooped down on suspected criminal hideouts in Pece Prisons, Cell-Kyenjere, and surrounding areas in Gulu City on March 24, 2026.

During the operation, several suspects linked to organized criminal activities were apprehended. The suspects are currently being detained at Gulu City East Policing Division.

They include Ochola Desmon, Okot Emma, and an individual known by the alias "24." Efforts to apprehend other suspects still at large are ongoing.

A number of items of evidential value were recovered during the operation, including 10 rounds of ammunition, one pair of police uniforms, bunches of keys, four pangas and four knives, housebreaking implements, four large padlocks, mattresses, and two television sets.
