UFL 2025/26: Kampala University qualifies to semi-finals on away goal’s rule
On Tuesday, 31st March 2026, Muteesa 1 Royal University plays host to Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) Nkozi in Masaka city.

Kampala University (KU) became the first institution to qualify for the 2025/26 Pepsi University Football League (UFL) semi-finals.
Led by head coach Vincent “Titi Camara” Tumusiime, Kampala University needed a goalless draw with visiting Bugema University at the FUFA Kadiba stadium in Mengo during the return leg on Monday, 30th March 2026.
The non-scoring stalemate meant that Kampala University progressed via the famous away goal’s rule having recorded a 1-all draw during the first leg played at Bugema University.
KU now awaits the other six universities to determine the three who will storm the semi-finals.

On Tuesday, 31st March 2026, Muteesa 1 Royal University plays host to Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) Nkozi in Masaka city.
UMU won the first leg 2-1 in Nkozi. Richard Lagu and Allan Odong scored in either half for Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi.
Ali Lutwama got a stoppage minute penalty for the consolation of the visitors to give them hope prior to the return leg.
Other return legs:
Ndejje University will host St Lawrence University with hopes of overturning the 1-2 loss suffered in the first leg.
Ronnie Ziraba and Sharafah Mukiibi were on target for St Lawrence University whilst Davis Musinguzi found the consolation for Ndejje University.
In the same vein, YMCA Comprehensive shall be hosting Kumi University in Buwambo.
The first leg played in Kumi ended 1-goal apiece with Ashraf Luggya’s Olympico giving the visiting YMCA Comprehensive the lead in the 50th minute before Cuthbert Muge found the equalizer 14 minutes later.
The Pepsi University Football League is organized by Red Rhino Group, funded by Crown Beverages Limited under the Pepsi brand.
Over the years, this league has garnered popularity for the ability to give talented university students a viable platform to showcase and nurture their football talents through a competitive environment.
In the same vein, a number of coaches, administrators, media personalities and passionate fans have been groomed through this league.
This league is played by players below the age of 26 years and they have to be active enrolled students at the different universities in the box.
