I Have More Money Compared to Artistes of This Generation, I Don’t Just Show Off – Ragga Dee

Earlier this month, Eddy Kenzo sparked controversy after claiming that musicians from the pre-2000 generation are broke and have nothing to show for their careers.

His remarks did not sit well with a section of Kadongo Kamu musicians, who have since come out to defend themselves.

Ragga Dee has now joined the conversation, insisting that he possesses more wealth than many artists of the current generation.

“In terms of wealth, very few musicians in this generation can match me,” he said.

The dancehall musician explained that while he has accumulated significant wealth through music, he chooses not to show it off publicly.

“I started doing music in the 1980s alongside many of the Kadongo Kamu musicians Kenzo referred to. We have accumulated a lot of wealth, including cash and assets. I personally own several land titles, among other investments — we just don’t show off,” he explained in an interview with a local television station.
