Mukula Urges Discipline, Integrity at Aviation Graduation
The founder of Uganda Aviation Academy, Mike Mukula, has urged graduates to uphold discipline, integrity and continuous learning as they prepare to enter the global aviation industry.
“This graduation is not the end but the beginning of your professional journey. Always stay ahead of the curve, be disciplined, and maintain high ethical standards,” Mukula said on Friday while presiding over the graduation of 241 students in Kampala.
Mukula emphasized adaptability, warning that the aviation sector is fast-evolving and demands professionals who can meet strict international standards in safety, efficiency and customer service.
The ceremony, held at Protea Hotel, drew aviation stakeholders, parents and guests from across the country, reflecting growing interest in aviation careers amid rising demand for skilled personnel.
The graduates completed training in air cabin crew, airport operations, cargo handling, travel and tourism, airline customer service, aviation security, ticketing systems and flight operations and dispatch.
Government Chief Whip Hamson Obua, who officiated as chief guest, congratulated the graduates and urged them to represent Uganda with professionalism.
“You are entering an industry that is both competitive and vital to global connectivity. Carry the Ugandan flag high and always remember that safety, customer service, and discipline are at the heart of aviation,” Obua said.
The graduation comes as Uganda’s aviation sector seeks to expand its skilled workforce to tap into regional and global opportunities, with private academies playing a key role in bridging the skills gap.
