Former Leader of Opposition Winnie Kiiza has spoken out following the arrest of Masaka City Woman MP Justine Nameere, calling for adherence to human rights standards and humane treatment in all arrests.
Nameere was reportedly arrested on Friday evening, May 15, 2026, just hours after being sworn into Parliament. The incident occurred in Masaka City as she joined supporters in a procession heading to Liberation Square to celebrate her swearing-in.
