No Ebola scare in Uganda but SOPs important-MPs
Members of Parliament from the Rwenzori sub-region have moved to reassure the public, investors and tourists that Kasese District and the wider Rwenzori Region remain free of Ebola and are safe for travel, business and major upcoming events, including the Rwenzori Marathon scheduled for August.
Speaking at a joint press conference at Parliament today, the legislators, led by Hon. Benjamin Cadet Butuuro, the Bunyaruguru County MP, alongside Kasese District Woman MP Hon. Sarah Ithungu Masereka and Busongora County South MP Hon. David Mulindwa Isimbwa, dismissed reports suggesting an Ebola outbreak in the region.
