No Negotiations with Museveni's Govt Over Detained NUP Supporters' - NUP SG David Rubongoya Rules
The Secretary General of the National Unity Platform (NUP), David Lewis Rubongoya, has firmly rejected the possibility of negotiating with the government to secure the release of detained party supporters.
Rubongoya made it clear that the opposition party has nothing to offer in exchange for the freedom of its members, many of whom have been held for extended periods under harsh conditions.
In a recent interview with NTV, Rubongoya questioned the basis for any negotiations, stating, "What would we give in exchange for their release? They have done nothing wrong. They are political prisoners.
